Gastroenteritis means inflammation of both the stomach and intestines.

We spoke of the prefix dys-, which means "bad," "difficult," "abnormal," or "painful." A few other words that contain this prefix are:

antidysuric [anti-, against + " + uri, urine] - a substance that is "against painful urination" or in other words a substance that relieves painful or difficult urination
dyspnea [" + pnea, breathe] difficulty breathing
dysmenorrhea [" + men-, month + rhea, to flow] difficult or painful menstruation

What does it mean when a substance is said to be antidysmenorrheic?

It relieves the problems and discomfort of menstruation
It relieves the problems and discomfort of bladder infections
It relieves the problems and discomfort of pregnancy
It stops menstration
